For example, the number of domestic day-trippers already approached the one-million mark last year. This information is based on statistics provided to the Hanko Tourist Office by telecommunications operators. - VR and Onnibus will launch new daily services between Helsinki and Hanko this summer.
- The popular train service from Riihimäki will continue this summer as well.
Last year, for the first time in a long while, it was possible to reach Hanko by train not only from the capital region but also from Riihimäki. The service was so popular that tickets sold out in no time. - The shuttle service will also run this summer, this time every day from Midsummer until the end of July.
- Last year, the number of day visitors increased by 40 percent compared to the previous year.
Hanko saw 40 percent more day visitors last year than the year before. Overnight stays increased by 14 percent compared to 2024.
