Maukka and Väykkä in a new adventure! Maukka and Väykkä’s day takes an exciting turn when Väykkä is suddenly overcome by an insurmountable fear. As usual, Maukka immediately goes to extremes in his attempts to find a solution: a fly becomes a bull, and a mosquito turns into a cat with stings.

Only genuine kindness and listening to one another will ultimately allow the friends to get through the tricky situation they find themselves in. The warm humor of Timo Parvela’s story and Iiro Rantala’s lively music carry Maukka and Väykkä through their day with joy and courage.

Maukka and Väykkä’s Fun-Filled Day is this working group’s third Maukka and Väykkä musical play. Author Timo Parvela has a special talent for weaving multiple touching and humorous layers into his stories, ensuring that the performances appeal to audiences of all ages. The versatility of Iiro Rantala’s compositions perfectly complements the stories’ charming boundlessness. The long shared journey of Maukka and Väykkä is evident and palpable as seamless collaboration both on stage and between the performers and the audience.
