The Sheep Detectives – We Speak Finnish

The film follows George Hardy (Jackman), a shepherd who loves his sheep and raises them solely for their wool. Every night he reads murder mysteries aloud, assuming the sheep don’t understand—unaware that not only do they understand, but they also argue among themselves for hours about who the culprit is. When George is found dead under mysterious circumstances, the sheep immediately realize it’s a murder and believe they know everything needed to solve it. Local police officer Tim Derry (Braun), on the other hand, has never solved a serious crime, so the sheep decide they must investigate the case themselves—even if it means leaving their pasture for the first time and facing the reality that the human world isn’t as simple as it is in books.
