KINO OLYMPIA / Dead Man’s Wire

Dead Man’s Wire
On the morning of February 8, 1977, Anthony G. “Tony” Kiritsis, 44, walked into the office of Richard O. Hall, president of Meridian Mortgage Company, and took him hostage with a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun rigged with a “dead man’s wire” from the trigger to Hall’s head. This is the true story of a standoff that shocked the world when Tony demanded $5 million, the dropping of charges and the cancellation of the trial, as well as a personal apology from Hall for having cheated him out of what he believed was rightfully his.
