When her daughter suddenly announces that she plans to sell her apartment on Málaga Street, María Ángeles’s whole life is threatened with change. She faces a move to either Madrid or a nursing home. As she tries to hold on to her home and her memories, she faces difficulties, but the situation also brings joy and new love. The film takes the viewer on a life-affirming journey through the streets of Morocco. *Calle Málaga – The Street of My Memories* is the first Spanish-language film by award-winning Moroccan director Maryam Touzan. Touzan’s previous film, *The Blue of the Caftan*, was Morocco’s Oscar nominee in 2022.
